When to choose it

Choose the Bottom Feeder when you already have a profiling gouge and want a separate edge for finishing near the inside bottom of a bowl. Its steeper primary bevel is the main distinction from a general-purpose profile.

The secondary bevel provides clearance behind the cutting edge in the bottom transition. Compare the supplied grind with your current sharpening setup before choosing between this and a conventional or fingernail bowl gouge.
