Match a replacement carbide cutter

Start with the tool body and its specified cutter code. Compare the edge outline and rake after you establish that the replacement sits correctly in the holder.

Find the tool model or bar marking

The part code on the bar or the manufacturer's tool page is a better fit check than a general listing title. Compare the intended holder series, screw and seating geometry before ordering a replacement.

Read the shape and rake separately

A round, square or diamond outline describes the edge seen from above. Rake describes the geometry around that edge. Compare the supported options for your holder and read the maker's intended uses.

Check hardware in the package

Some replacement packs contain one cutter and some include screws or multiple edges. A screw in the photo does not establish its thread or fit. Read the specific package contents and tool documentation.

Guide questions

Is a 12 mm round cutter always a match?

No. Check the holder part number, seat and fastener as well as diameter.

Does negative rake identify a tool series?

It describes the edge. Confirm the part code the holder accepts.

What if I own a mini and a mid-size tool?

Use the chart for each exact tool. Some sizes share cutters while others use different ones.

Which accessory suits the job?

  1. The standard 2600 and 2600NR both have a two-inch radius and fit the specified compact Roughers. Use the suffix to select the rake.

  2. The Mini 6200 and Mid-Size 6300 share the Ci3 cutter even though the handles and bars differ. The square Ci1-SQ fits a different tool family.
